GLOUCESTER – Residents in West Gloucester were without electric service for a time Tuesday afternoon after a crash severed a utility pole on Western Avenue near Bond Street. According to Gloucester Deputy Fire Chief Tom LoGrande, the unidentified driver of a late model Jeep was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital following the crash that happened just before 12:30 p.m. Traffic was re-routed along Stage Fort Park while the damaged vehicle was removed and National Grid crews worked to repair the damage and restore power.
