NORTH SHORE – It was my good fortune to host a discussion Friday between two affable, enthusiastic incumbent at-large city councilors in their respective cities: 4-term incumbent Brian LaPierre of Lynn and 3-term incumbent Afroz Khan of Newburyport. The conversation centered around the effectiveness of city council, the challenges of affordable housing and mandated zoning, and common regional issues.
