TYNGSBOROUGH — Police Chief Shaun Woods reports that the Tyngsborough Police Department is investigating an incident in which swastikas and hateful graffiti were written near an electric vehicle charging station.
On Tuesday, Feb. 11, at approximately 10 p.m., the Tyngsborough Police Department was called to the area of 440 Middlesex Road for a report of hate speech written on asphalt near the Tesla charging stations.
Officers arrived to discover that someone had used chalk to draw two swastikas and to write several phrases, including “normalize hate,” on the asphalt near the charging stations.
Officers washed the chalk off the asphalt with hot water and began an investigation.
It appears there was no surveillance footage of the area, and police were not able to locate any witnesses in the area. An investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
“At this time, we believe this to be an isolated incident.
