“Hamilton Wenham Girls Lacrosse lost 18-9 today at Triton. Mazey Loomis was our high scorer with 4 goals, Sophie Frain had 2 goals and 2 assists, Annabella Twomey, Tessa Landon and Eliza Twomey each had 1 goal. Annabel Howley and Bridget Marshall each had 2 assists, Tessa Landon and Catherine Howley each had one assist. Of the 9 goals we scored, 8 were assisted, which showed we worked as an offensive team, rather than as individual players.
“Our defense worked as a unit in their end. They communicated better than any other game this season. Kelsey Lyons and Katherine Sheehan were strong defenders during this game and caused turnovers and put pressure on Triton attackers.
“Sophie Frain had 5 draw controls, followed by Tessa Landon with 3.”

Tigers coach Kerri O’Connor: “Ipswich had a strong defensive game with Chloe Rogers, Izzy Primack and Kelsey Daly transitioning the ball excellently up the field. Julia Glavin and Kelsey Daly each had 4 caused turnovers and multiple pass and shot deflections. Delaney Whooley was key on draw control to help gain us possession and bring the second half stronger into the game. Emily Martineau helped stop the too many 8m shots that we gave up to Manchester. We were proud to keep our undefeated record against a always tough Manchester Essex team. We need to clean up our offensive shooting in games to come and look forward to continue improving as we move closer to playoffs each week”
