Traffic Alert from MassDOT 🚧
MassDOT will be conducting overnight lane closures on Route 133 (Essex Avenue) in Gloucester starting Sunday, June 1 through Friday, June 13.
🛣️ Location: Route 133 (Essex Ave) between Route 128 and the Essex town line
🕗 Time: Nightly from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM (Sunday through Friday)
This work is part of a pavement resurfacing project being performed by D&R General Contractors under a District-Wide Resurfacing contract.
🔄 Two-way traffic will be maintained whenever possible, but alternating traffic and detours may be used to complete the work safely.
🚔 Law enforcement and signage will be on-site to help guide drivers through the work zone.
⚠️ Expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution when traveling in the area. All work is weather dependent and subject to change.

City of Salem Splash Pads Open for the Season!

Splash Pad   As of Tuesday, June 3, Mayor Dominick Pangallo is pleased to announce that both City of Salem splash pads will be open and operational for the season.

Community members are invited to cool off at the splash pads at the following locations:

*The splash pad just outside the Forest River Pool (32 Clifton Avenue, Salem)

*The splash pad at Mary Jane Lee Park (at the corner of Prince and Palmer Streets, Salem).
