Gloucester – WATER TREATMENT OPERATIONS CHANGE

On Wednesday, June 12, 2024, the City will be changing from Babson Water Treatment Plant to West Gloucester Water Treatment Plant.  Changing the flow direction may cause temporary discoloration of the water as iron particles in the pipes are stirred up.  Please run cold water tap for a few minutes to clear your line.  Avoid the use of chlorine bleach during this time to prevent the staining of laundry.

If you experience persistent water quality peoples, please contact the DPW at 978-325-5600 or the Water Compliance Office at 978-325-5680.
