Danvers – Mass DOT Route One Paving Project Continues
The Mass DOT Route 1 Paving Project will continue tonight and on and off throughout the holiday week. Please see the schedule below:
Shift No. 3 – Monday Night 7/1/24 Northbound Right Lane – North of Pomodori to the Gillis Bridge
Shift No. 4 – Tuesday Night 7/2/24 Southbound Right Lane – The Gillis Bridge to North of Pomodori

Mayor Jared Nicholson – June was an incredible Pride Month! On behalf of the City of Lynn, we want to recognize the significance of celebrating Pride and honoring the LGBTQ+ community last month and all year round
In preparation for the Third of July Fireworks Celebration, there will be several street closures and parking restrictions. Please seek alternate routes during this time.
- Parking restrictions on Lynnshore Drive will go into effect from 3pm-11pm.
- Lynnshore Drive will be closed to vehicle access from 6pm-11pm. (Approx)
- There will be no parking on Prescott Road (both sides) and Cherry Street (right side)
- Limited handicap parking will be made available to residents on Lynnshore Drive between King’s Beach Road and Prescott Road. Please arrive before 6pm.
- Food will not be served once the fireworks show ends
- Please inform minors of the Lynn Police Department tent located at Red Rock Park in case of emergency
- The rain date for the Fireworks Celebration is July 5th
Please note that alcohol, marijuana, fireworks, and drones are prohibited. State Police may conduct searches freely on Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) property.
Salem
The first Monday of the month is special at the Beverly Council on Aging because it is State Senator Joan Lovely business hour. Today was even more special as she introduced her new Chief of Staff Bob McCarthy.
Gloucester
City Hall closed on Thursday, July 4th and Friday, July 5th in observance of Independence Day
City Hall will be closed on Thursday, July 4th and Friday, July 5th in observance of Independence Day.
City Hall will reopen at normal business hours on Monday, July 8th.
Trash and recycling will not be collected on Thursday, July 4th, and collection will be one day later for the remainder of the week.
