West Newbury Fire Department Crews Extinguish Fire at Chestnut Street Home – Chief Michael Dwyer reports that West Newbury Fire Department crews extinguished a one-alarm fire overnight at a Chestnut Street home. At 2:42 a.m. Tuesday, the homeowner at 7 Chestnut St. called 911 and reported activated fire alarms and smoke in the residence. The first fire crews on scene reported heavy smoke showing from outside the home. Firefighters quickly found that the fire was active in the basement and then extinguished it. The fire originated from a dryer exhaust hose. There were no injuries.
Salem Mayor Dominick Pangallo – Today marked the 40th annual “Bridging the Gap” – #SalemMA High and Beverly High football teams, cheerleader squads, band musicians, and class leaders came together before the Thanksgiving Day game in an expression of sportsmanship, respect, and camaraderie before the big game.
