ESSEX – Essex police and emergency personnel were called to the Bothways Farm on Southern Avenue at just before 1 p.m. Sunday where a small pickup truck crashed through a stone wall and apparently flipped over before landing upright on farm property. According to Essex police, the unidentified driver was “shaken up” and transported to Beverly Hospital as a precaution. Police say the driver told them he swerved to avoid geese in the road when the crash occurred. The cause of the accident is under investigation, according to Essex Police Officer Mike French.
