Town of Georgetown Launches Website Devoted to Budget Development, Transparency

GEORGETOWN – The Town of Georgetown has launched a new website devoted to its annual budgeting process, providing a wealth of information so that community members may be more fully informed about the municipal budget process.

The Georgetown Municipal Budget Portal includes a number of easy-to-use features, including:

  • A regularly updated calendar of board and commission meetings related to budget development including the Select Board and School Committee, as well as Town Meetings, elections, and community information sessions.
  • Access to recordings of meetings
  • Presentations and documents regarding budget preparation.
  • Answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) about the Town, School, Police, and Fire budgets.
  • A budget calculator that will allow property owners to estimate their tax bills for the coming year’s budget.

Community members also may sign up to receive regular email updates on the budget, as well as ask budget questions directly to Georgetown’s municipal leaders.
