Thursday Sports Scorebaord: Beverly Teams Win Gieras Tournament – Masco Boys Hockey Wins – Endicott Men’s Basketball Season Ends

Endicott College Schedule Update: Due to inclement weather forcing a competing campus’s closure on Thursday (Feb. 23), the following changes have been made to the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Women’s Basketball Tournament Schedule. The semifinal between No. 2 seed University of New England and No. 6 seed Endicott has been moved to Friday, Feb. 24 at 6 PM. The other semifinal between No. 1 seed Roger Williams and No. 5 seed Western New England will go on as scheduled (Thursday, Feb. 23 at 6 PM).

In order to allow for a rest day following the semifinals, the CCC Championship will now be played on Sunday, Feb. 26 with the higher seed hosting.

St. Mary’s 3, Notre Dame 2 – Spartans trailed 2-0, Gabbi Oakes, Kasey Litwin and Gianna Young scored the goals for St. Marys, which concludes the regular season 21-1.


Men’s College Hockey

Weather Update: #3 Fitchburg State will now host #6 Salem State on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 5:00 PM at Wallace Civic Center.

Men’s College Basketball

CCC Semifinals: Western New England 79, Endicott 71 – Jalen Echevarria (Lynn) led the Gulls with a game-high 22 points (9-18 FG).

Jeff Hill (Lynn) added 20 points while, Dillon Grant (Dennis) chipped in with nine points and four rebounds. Endicott’s season comes to a close at 17-10
