Marblehead 2, Swampscott 1 – With Seaside unplayable due to the rain, Marblehead and Swampscott met at the JV baseball field at Marblehead High School. It was an absolute pitchers dual with Chris Cannuscio hanging on for the 2-1 win – getting the last batter to strike out with the tying run on second. Swampscott’s Justin Spear did a great job of limiting the Magicians to just 3 hits and 0 earned runs with 6 k’s – but a couple of free baserunners and an error led to the Magicians 2 runs in the first. The Magicians are now 9-5 overall (7-4 in league play). Next up is a non-league game against Bishop Fenwick Monday at Seaside Park Marblehead.
