Marblehead 13, Somerville 10 – Game details below from coach Mike Giardi – Marblehead went up 9-0 in the third but Somerville bounced back with 7 in the 4th. Marblehead answered with 2 in the bottom of the inning but Somerville added 3 more in the 5th.With the tying run at the plate Chris Cannuscio was able to close the door. Marblehead will now travel to Hopkinton on Monday June 5 for 5 pm start.

Ipswich won it’s first round match at home vs Rockport Freshman Abbie Allen won 6-2, 6-1 at second singles. Jr. Tess O’Flynn won 6-0, 6-1 at 3rd singles. First doubles team Lila Borgman and Norah Hickey won 6-2, 6-2 and second doubles team of Sr captain Maggie McCormick and sophomore Frannie Hertz won 7-5, 6-2.
