Manchester-by-the-sea Police Dept

We are excited to officially welcome our newest full time Police Officer to the Department. Officer Chelsie Reilly successfully completed over twenty weeks of intensive training in all aspects of law enforcement, emergency vehicle operations and firearms, which was wrapped up today with her graduation from the Massachusetts Police Training Committee Lynnfield Police Academy this morning. She was one of 74 graduates representing 35 other agencies from Massachusetts. Multiplemembers of the department were on hand in the audience to express their congratulations!

Officer Reilly previously worked as a full time dispatcher for the department as well as a part time Police Officer leading up to her enrollment in the Police Academy.
Congratulations to all graduating officers of the Lynnfield Police Academy, 5th Recruit Officer Class!

Six new officers were sworn in yesterday. Congratulations to Officer Rosely Ovalles, Officer Genesis Encarnacion, Officer Marcus Tucker, Officer Lashaunda Hogan, Officer Anthony Ferando-Deleon and Officer Rafael Velez Rodriguez.

Summer is in full swing!☀️☀️☀️ Many people have asked about flotation devices so here is Gloucester’s regulation:

“Inflatable Objects: Use of inflatable toys, rafts, tubes, mattresses or other inflated objects and the use of all floating objects (this includes USCG approved life jackets), except “boogie boards”, in the water of all public beaches is prohibited. Boogie Boards will be permitted within the boundaries of a designated area to be located at the far eastern end of the public portion of Good Harbor Beach. A “boogie board” will be defined as a small 19” to 44” soft board comprised of foam, polyurethane, polystyrene, etc., with an attached wrist leash. Floating boards that do not meet this definition are prohibited from use on the beach.”
