City of Newburyport – Mayor Sean Reardon and the City of Newburyport invite residents and community stakeholders to a community presentation on plans for the new Newburyport Rec Center. The meeting will be held on Thursday, Jan. 18, at 6:30 p.m., in City Hall Auditorium. The Recreation and Youth Services Department (formerly NYS) has needed a new home since the heatingnys rendering pic system at the former Brown School became unusable in 2021. The City purchased the former National Guard building site at 59 Low St. in 2022 as a potential site.

Essex Tech – What a great night celebrating the life and work of MLK. Great job Mara! She did an amazing job singing with the Boston Children’s Choir at Symphony Hall! We even got to see 2023 grad Jaylene before she went back to college from winter break.
