Tewksbury Police Seek Public Assistance in Identifying Breaking and Entering Suspect

TEWKSBURY — Chief Ryan Columbus reports that the Tewksbury Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in connection to a recent break-in at a local business.

On Monday, Dec. 30 at approximately 5:25 a.m., Tewksbury Police were dispatched to Kay’s Hallmark Store, 1900 Main St. for reports of a back door that appeared to be wide open.

Upon arrival, officers checked the building for anything suspicious and found several ceiling tiles missing near the entrance. The cash registers appeared to be tampered with and money was missing.

A preliminary investigation determined that the suspect entered the building through the roof and traveled through the air vents before entering the store. Tewksbury Police searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money from the registers

The suspect is described as a male wearing a black hoodie, black pants, black sneakers, two-toned gray work gloves, and a red ski mask.

Tewksbury Police also received a report of a suspicious male wearing a red ski mask, believed to be the suspect in the breaking and entering incident, who was seen walking on Shawsheen Road. To view video footage, click here.
