Tewksbury Police Arrest and Charge Andover Man with Drug Distribution

TEWKSBURY — Chief Ryan Columbus reports that the Tewksbury Police Department arrested and charged an Andover man with drug distribution.

DAVID CHOMICZ, AGE 41, of ANDOVER, was arrested and charged with:

  • Distribution of a Class A Substance (subsequent offense)

On Tuesday, March 4, at about 8:35 p.m., Tewksbury Police arrested CHOMICZ as a result of a Tewksbury Police Narcotics Unit ongoing investigation.

CHOMICZ was arrested without incident after selling approximately 9.8 grams of fentanyl in the area of Ames Hill Drive.

Police found two bundles of cash totaling about $312 on CHOMICZ‘s person. During a subsequent search of CHOMICZ‘s hotel room, Police found a digital scale and drug-related paraphernalia.

Over the course of the investigation, Police learned that CHOMICZ was likely under the influence of narcotics. CHOMICZ was transported to an area hospital for medical evaluation as a precaution. He was later transported back to the Police Department without incident.

CHOMICZ will be arraigned in Lowell District Court on Wednesday, March 5.
