Georgetown 2 Ipswich 1 – Ipswich coach Cortney Penta post game comments, ” Ipswich senior, co-captain Carolina Ivanov scored the first goal of the game, and the only goal for Ipswich.  She barreled down the field to create a break-away situation, and placed the ball accurately into the left-hand corner of the net.  Shortly after Ivanov’s goal, Georgetown countered with a goal of their own off of a free kick.  The two teams battled evenly for the rest of the first half, but during the second, Georgetown came out stronger and scored again in the final 10 minutes of the match.  Ipswich could not find the momentum to counter, and Georgetown garnered the win.”
