2016breakfastflyerfinal2ICE CREAM FOR BREAKFAST WILL SUPPORT THE A.J. Trustey Epilepsy Research Fund at Brigham and Women’s Hospital   Cherry Farm Creamery to host a National Ice Cream for Breakfast Day event; half of all proceeds from 8am12pm will be donated to support The Endowed A.J. Trustey Epilepsy Research Fund   at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
The most important meal of the day is about to get even better!  Help kick off Cherry Farm Creamery’s 40th Anniversary Year by making your breakfast a bit  “cooler” at their annual ice cream for breakfast event.  You’ve probably done it before, but now you’ll have a great excuse. Eat ice cream for breakfast in support of The Endowed A.J. Trustey Epilepsy Research Fund at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.  In gratitude for all the Trustey family has done for our community, and in tribute to Joe, A.J. and Anna, Cherry Farm Creamery is proud to support the Endowed A.J. Trustey Epilepsy Research Fund at Brigham and Women’s Hospital at this year’s Ice Cream for Breakfast Event.
Named in memory of A.J., The Endowed A.J. Trustey Epilepsy Research Fund at Brigham and Women’s Hospital supports novel and innovative epilepsy research with the goal of improving the care and treatment for epilepsy patients and their families.  Thanks to the outpouring of support, some projects are already underway including research focused on training clinicians to identify and address mental health issues in epilepsy patients, improving the transition from pediatric to adult care, and identifying characteristics that will predict a patient’s adherence and response to treatment.
To increase support of the fund, Cherry Farm will also be teaming up with The Epilepsy Foundation New England (EFNE) on Ice Cream for Breakfast Day.  The EFNE provides programs and services for people living with epilepsy and their families all across New England.  Clothing donations drives are one way they support all this good work.  As part of Ice Cream for Breakfast Day at Cherry Farm, the EFNE would like to encourage everyone to “Bring a Bag to Breakfast” of unwanted clothes, shoes, or linens.  Staff will be onsite to assist & provide prizes for each bag donated.  All additional proceeds generated from “Bring a Bag to Breakfast” will support The Endowed A.J. Trustey Epilepsy Research Fund at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.   Join us at Cherry Farm Creamery on Saturday, February 6th for National Ice Cream for Breakfast Day. Cherry Farm will be opening early at 8am for the occasion and serving a special “breakfast” menu.  From 8am-12pm half of all proceeds will be donated to support The Endowed A.J. Trustey Epilepsy Research Fund at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, so be sure to stop by early (& don’t forget your bag of clothes!).  Special menu items include:  Waffle Sundaes, Maple Donut & Pop-Tart sundaes, “Coffee & Donuts” ice cream (coffee ice cream with chocolate glazed donuts mixed in), and “Maple Bacon” ice cream (maple flavored ice cream with bits of bacon mixed in); as well as warm maple syrup and blueberry toppings.  Our regular menu will also be available; “breakfast” menu items are available while supplies last.  So, come on and break the rules, it’s ice cream for breakfast and you deserve it!  Ice Cream for Breakfast Day was started many years ago by a mother in upstate New York trying to break up the long winter months with something fun for her kids; there are only 4 rules: (1) Eat ice cream (2) for breakfast (3) on the first Saturday in February (4) enjoy!  With extra credit awarded for a great cause.  Cherry Farm Creamery is located at 210 Conant St. in Danvers, MA.  More details can be found on Cherry Farm’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/cherryfarmcreamery) or by calling the store at 978-774-0519.
