University of New England Nor’Easters on Sunday afternoon at Rockett Arena. The Vikings improve to 1-5 while New England slips to 3-4-1.

Annie Mullen (Concord, N.H.) put New England on the board with less than a minute remaining in the first as she carried the puck in from just above the face-off circle and beat Plourde for the 1-0 lead. The Nor’Easters dominated possession in the period, outshooting Salem State 16-4.

Despite being outshot, the Vikings dominated the second period, scoring three unanswered goals to take a 3-1 lead. Kylie Currier (Middleton, Mass.) put home a rebound nine minutes into the second on a power play after New England netminder Caty Flagg (Methuen, Mass.) made the initial save on an attempt by Madison Kingston (Braintree, Mass.).
