City invests in enhancements to downtown sewer pipes, water infrastructure and stormwater drainage
SALEM, – Mayor Dominick Pangallo announced that, thanks to the MBTA Communities Catalyst Fund grant, the City of Salem advancing a series of targeted improvements to the city’s infrastructure. These improvements include repairing sewer pipes, replacing water infrastructure, and upgrading the stormwater drainage system in varying places in and around downtown Salem.
The projects made possible by the Catalyst Fund grant are in addition to extensive infrastructure improvement projects already planned or underway across the community as part of the City’s current Capital Improvement Plan. Thanks in advance for patience and understanding through the construction period, as we carry out these important upgrades to downtown Salem.”
As part of this initiative, the community will notice ongoing work in and around the downtown area. This construction is scheduled from now through June 30th.
