Rowley Police Investigating Three-Vehicle Crash Involving Motorcycle

ROWLEY — Police Chief Scott A. Dumas reports that the Rowley Police Department is investigating a three-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle that injured two people.
Rowley Police and Fire responded to the intersection of Rt. 1 and Wethersfield Street shortly before 1 p.m. for a reported motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival, rescuers found two cars and a motorcycle had been involved in the crash. The motorcycle rider sustained serious injuries and was taken by medical helicopter to Massachusetts General Hospital. The driver of one of the cars was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, and the third driver was not injured.
The incident is under investigation by the Rowley Police Department with the assistance of the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section.
The roadway was shut down for a period of time with lane restrictions expected throughout Friday afternoon as the investigation ensues.
