| ROCKPORT– Chief John Horvath reports that the Rockport Police Department is searching for a man who exposed himself to a teenage girl on Long Beach yesterday afternoon. |
| On Wednesday, Aug. 9, at approximately 3 p.m., four girls approached a Rockport Police Officer who was on patrol at Long Beach to report that a man had exposed his genitals to one of them while in the water. |
| The victim, a 14-year-old girl, and her friends, identified the man, who was still in the area, about a 100 yards away walking in the direction of the Guard Shack toward Gloucester. The Rockport Officer pursued the suspect on foot, but the man quickly fled the area. |
| Rockport and Gloucester Police, along with Rockport lifeguards and parking lot attendants, conducted a search for the suspect, but were unable to locate him. |
| The suspect is described as a white man in his 40s, approximately 5-feet 9-inches tall, about 180-200 pounds, with short brown/gray hair. He was last seen wearing a camouflage baseball hat (with oval emblem on the front), no shirt, floral patterned shorts, a dark colored backpack and carrying an orange white boogie board, which was recovered by police. |
