Rescue Launched from Nahant – Not Needed as Everyone was Safe – Beach Observers Reported Two Paddleboarders in Danger

NAHANT / LYNN – Late Saturday afternoon MSO news sources indicate that Nahant Police and Fire rescue officials were notified of two paddleboarders that might have been blown out to sea off of Lynn Beach. The Nahant Fire Dept. rescue responded by sending out a three-man rescue boat. When they arrived on the scene near Egg Rock off of Nahant and Swampscott it became clear that there were no paddleboarders in danger. What they found was a kayak with occupants wearing life jackets. Again, no one was ever in danger but Nahant officials responded to the report from on shore observers. Below is a photo galley taken from the Nahant Wharf this afternoon.
