CONNECTIONS – The Winthrop High School Vikings hockey team picked up 3 out of 4 points in games against Masconomet High School (a perennial Cape Ann League powerhouse, that just finished its first season in the Northeastern Conference) to tie for the top spot in the league with 19 points.
In this edition of CONNECTIONS (close to the 41st anniversary of “The Miracle on Ice”), Coach Dale Dunbar reviews the present edition of Vikings hockey with great satisfaction on how the team performed on and off the ice. He has special praise for the spirit and dedication of his players. He also reflects on hockey “then and now”; and he looks to the future of “Winthrop Pride” with justified optimism.
