DANVERS (Podcast) Massachusetts state legislators learned their committee assignments this past week. State Representative Sally Kerans (Danvers – 13th Essex) updates listeners in this podcast of her updated committee assignments and shares details on some of the many bills that she will be working on during the current legislative session. Kerans served in the state legislation from 1990-96 and returned to the state house in 2020 running for the seat vacated by retiring Ted Speliotis. Kerans has been active in Danvers pubic service having served on the Finance Committee as well as the Committee for Diversity, Humans Rights, and Inclusion. As a legislator, Kerans is active in state based issues and in the podcast she also shares information on the work being planned to make a safer Route 114 in Danvers and Peabody.

13th Essex District – 2022 Redistricting: 13th Essex District will retain Danvers, Peabody Ward 6, Middleton Precinct 2, Topsfield Precinct 2 and Wenham Precinct 1A. Kerans lost Ward 5 Precinct 2 in Peabody that is shifting to the 12th Essex, represented by Tom Walsh, and neighbors in Middleton Precinct 2 who will vote in Precincts 1 or 3, are represented by Brad Jones.
