LYNN (Podcast) St. Mary’s of Lynn has had a very successful winter sports season. Currently basketball and hockey teams are preparing for Saturday’s tournament announcements from the MIAA. In a podcast interview St. Mary’s Athletic Director and girls basketball coach Jeff Newhall shares the many outstanding athletic performances at the school. This past week, the school hosted four days of basketball with 22 teams at the Spartan Classic that wrapped up with the St. Mary’s girls winning in the championship game.

MIAA GIRLS TRACK: Lory Suriel throws 35’4” to take third and qualifies for the MIAA All State Meet at the Division 4 state championship. 8th grader Kelsey Kwiatek matches her season best 5:54 in the mile.
MIAA BOYS TRACK: Brett O’Brien takes third in high jump with a jump of 6’ to qualify for the MIAA All State Meet. Ernie Panias also medals with a 7th place finish in the 55 meter dash
