Reposting: Coach’s File – Podcast: St. Mary’s Football Coach Sean Driscoll – Reflections on Nearly 30 Years of Coaching

As the high school sports season approaches, MSO is reposting some of our 2023 interviews with north shore football coaches. In these interviews the coaches share memories from the days as players and reflect on the events and people that have shaped them as coaches. These interviews were conducted in August, many of them prior to the first day of practices (8/18). After Labor Day, msonewsports will be previewing high school football games scheduled for the opening weekend of play. (9/8)


LYNN (Podcast) This summer we are presenting a series of feature interviews with north shore football coaches as they describe their early experiences with football, the transition from playing to coaching, and many additional topics that have shaped them as head football coaches. Winthrop native Sean Driscoll is entering his 6th season leading the St. Mary’s Spartans and prior to that he spent 20 years at Winthrop High as an assistant coach and head coach at the school. St. Mary’s announced this week that the Spartans will play at Everett on Thanksgiving Eve. for their holiday match-up. (T-Day Details)
