SAUGUS (Podcast – Photos) Saugus girls basketball coach Mark Schruender called last night’s game the most exciting game he has ever coached. Saugus beat Winthrop 63-61 in overtime at Saugus High School. The Sachems were led by Ashleen Escobar’s career high 23 points and Peyton DiBiasio 18 point performance. Saugus is now 9-4 on the season and they will play at Triton Wednesday night (5:30). Saugus coach Mark Schruender, in the podcast, shares Winthrop and Saugus highlights from last night’s game.
