NORTH SHORE (Podcast) The high school winter sports championships wrapped up this past weekend. One north shore team that was able to secure a state was the St. Mary’s girls basketball team. On Saturday they defeated north shore rival Bishop Fenwick 45-41 at the Tsongas Center for their third straight MIAA D3 Title. This week in the sports writer’s podcast Spartans head girls basketball coach / athletic director Jeff Newhall joins the team to talk about the playoffs and his team. The sports writers also weigh-in on Endicott College hosting the NCAA D3 men’s hockey frozen four playoffs this weekend at the Bourque Arena.
