NORTH READING (Podcast) North Reading football (5-4) will play at Lynnfield (8-2) Thanksgiving morning (10:30) in their annual rivalry holiday matchup. North Reading enters this week’s game having lost their last game (Winthrop 39-22) but winning the previous week against Bishop Fenwick (24-14). Lynnfield went unbeaten in the Cape Ann League this season (7-0) but lost in their last playoff game to Hudson (27-13) after winning their opening playoff game against Swampscott (28-0). In this podcast interview North Reading football coach Ed Blum reflects on his 2023 season and previews this week’s game at Lynnfield. North Reading won the 2022 MIAA D5 Super Bowl a year ago against Shawsheen.
