MILTON (Podcast) – The #3 Milton football team (9-3) captured the MIAA D3 Super Bowl title last week at Gillette Stadium by beating #4 Walpole (42-21). The Wildcats were down by 14 points in the first quarter but came back to beat Walpole avenging a regular season loss to Walpole (42-23) on October 13th. This was Milton’s first super bowl title. In this podcast Milton football coach Steve Dembowski discusses the win and his team’s season as well as a proposal to update the MIAA postseason football playoff format. Dembowski is active with the state coaches association. Dembowski was a standout player at Swampscott High, graduating in 1989. Later he joined the Big Blue coaching staff and served as head coach for 15 years. During that time Swampscott won a Super Bowl title in 2017. Dembowski’s first season in Milton was 2015 and this year marked their second straight season that they appeared in the D3 Super Bowl.
