With the fall sports season getting underway, we are reposing last year’s Coaches’ Files with north shore football coaches. In these interviews the coaches share memories from the days as players and reflect on the events and people that have shaped them as coaches. These interviews were conducted in August, many of them prior to the first day of practices (8/18).
LYNN (Podcast) Lynn Tech football coach James Runner was a standout high school player at Lynn Classical and later he went on to play college football. (Dean) This podcast is part of our summer series of interviews with north shore football coaches. Runner shares stories from playing high school football in Lynn and the impact college football had on him becoming a better player and eventual a football coach. This will be Runner’s 14th year as head coach at Lynn Tech and in the podcast, he discusses stories and experiences that have shaped him as a high school head football coach. Last year Lynn Tech qualified for postseason play and this year they will open the season against Malden (9/9).
