GLOUCESTER – The Peabody Tanners remain unbeaten at 7-0 with a 37-7 win over a scrappy Gloucester Fishermen football team (2-5). The Fishermen controlled the clock for 9 minutes, 33 seconds on the very first drive of the game, but couldn’t get into the end zone.
The Tanners scored on the first play of the second quarter and picked up three more touchdowns after that before Gloucester was able to score.
Seven different Tanners scored, led by 3 touchdown passes from Shea Lynch (8 for 9, 199 yards in the air.) Alan Paulino (34 yard run), Danny Barrett (65 yards, pass from Lynch), Alex Silva (5 yard run), Eli Batista (44 yards, pass from Lynch) , and Jayce Dooley (22 yards, pass from Lynch) all scored touchdowns, and Dom Scalese added 4 extra points along with a 29-yard field goal.
