Peabody Mayor Unveils Centennial Website

Mayor Edward A. Bettencourt, Jr. is pleased to introduce www.peabody100.com, the official website of Peabody’s centennial celebration in 2016.

“The City of Peabody turns 100 years old next year and we are planning a yearlong party to mark the occasion in grand fashion,” said Mayor Bettencourt. “The Peabody100 website is designed to engage the entire community in this historic event.”

Developed by Gravoc Associates of Peabody, www.peabody100.com features information on four major centennial events planned for 2016; the Family Festival at Brooksby Farm, the Stars & Stripes Centennial Concert, the Grand Centennial Parade, and the Centennial Grand Ball.

The website also offers a sign up page for would be volunteers, a fundraising portal for those wishing to donate to Peabody100 and a photo gallery to help commemorate each centennial event. As 2016 draws closer, website visitors will have the opportunity to purchase centennial memorabilia and share ideas and memories with friends and family via links to Facebook and Twitter.

“I hope Peabody residents share my anticipation and excitement for the 2016 centennial celebration,” said Mayor Bettencourt. “Peabody Pride is alive and well and will be on display for all the world to see in 2016.”
