REVERE – (State Police Report) At approximately 5:55 a.m. today, a 33-year-old woman reported to State Police that she had been indecently assaulted while she was jogging on Revere Beach Boulevard a short time earlier.

The victim said she was running north along the sea wall side of the Boulevard near Revere Street when a man suddenly appeared in front of her. The man verbally accosted her and then grabbed her chest and her buttocks. The woman yelled at him, and the man began running south on the Boulevard and then onto Ocean Avenue toward the Wonderland MBTA station. Troopers responded but did not locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic or white male in his early 20s, who was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and a black and white bandana, possibly a skull-style bandana. The victim said she has seen the man before while she was running.

The incident remains under investigation. Anyone who has information on the suspect’s identity is urged to call State Police-Revere at 781-284-0038. Pedestrians who use any public space are urged to be aware of their surroundings at all times and carry a charged cell phone to call 911 if they feel threatened or observe anything or anyone suspicious.
