Wednesday Morning Update from Essex Country District Attorney’s Office

The Essex District Attorney’s Office, the Essex State Police Detective Unit and Haverhill Police are investigating a fatal shooting in Haverhill last night.

Haverhill Police responded to 54 Rainbow Drive at 9:32 pm last night for a report of a shooting.  The victim, Bryce Finn, 18, of that same address, was suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.  He was transported to Merrimack Valley Hospital in Haverhill where he was pronounced dead.  Witnesses report that a suspect knocked on the door of the victim’s home.  When he answered, a suspect shot him in the chest and fled.  At this time, investigators do not believe this was a random act.

This is an active investigation with no arrests at this time.  For that reason, no further information will be released and there will be no speculation as to motive.
