North Shore Today Newscast Update: Lynn Homicide Victim Identified; More Snow to Shovel; New Recreational Dock Planned for Beverly

LYNN – The victim of the homicide currently being investigated in Lynn has been positively identified as Carlos Aponte, 38. (unknown address).

Police responded to 10 Surfside Road at 5:00 am after a resident, who was operating a snowblower in the area, found the victim deceased in the snow.  He had visible injuries to his upper chest, lower neck region.  The cause of the injuries (i.e., either stabbing or gunshot wound) will require a determination by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

The investigation is ongoing.  Further information will be released as it is available.
