The City of Newburyport, Department of Public Services (DPS) will be repainting the pavement markings over the next few months around the city. A majority of the work which includes crosswalks and lane lines will occur during the overnight hours by our pavement marking contractor while some smaller more detailed projects to be done by city staff during the early mornings.
The work of painting existing and installing new crosswalks usually takes about 10-minutes to complete per location and all attempts are made to make this operation as quiet and efficient as possible. Overnight work will start on July 15th.
