With multiple local and state leaders in attendance, Mayor Holaday — the city’s 68th mayor — will take the oath of office and officially begin her second four-year term. By doing so, she’ll become the first Newburyport Mayor to serve a second term. |
Former mayors Byron Matthews, Lisa Mead, Christopher Sullivan, Mary Anne Clancy, Mary Carrier and John Moak will all be in attendance to mark the occasion. |
In her inaugural address, Mayor Holaday will emphasize Newburyport’s community legacy, including its history and accomplishments, as well as how its citizens continue to work collectively to enhance its future. |
