Newburyport Mayor to be Sworn in for Second Term

NEWBURYPORT — The City of Newburyport is pleased to announce that Mayor Donna D. Holaday will become the first mayor in the city’s history to be sworn in for a second term next week.

WHAT:
With multiple local and state leaders in attendance, Mayor Holaday — the city’s 68th mayor — will take the oath of office and officially begin her second four-year term. By doing so, she’ll become the first Newburyport Mayor to serve a second term.
Former mayors Byron Matthews, Lisa Mead, Christopher Sullivan, Mary Anne Clancy, Mary Carrier and John Moak will all be in attendance to mark the occasion.
In her inaugural address, Mayor Holaday will emphasize Newburyport’s community legacy, including its history and accomplishments, as well as how its citizens continue to work collectively to enhance its future.
