MASSACHUSETTS (Podcast) Massachusetts high school football coaches are currently debating several new proposals that could reshape the regular season football schedule as well as update the post season playoff format. Steve Dembowski, Milton High School head football coach, in a podcast interview shares background on the plans that are being considered to take effect for the 2021 season. One of the key elements of several of the plans restores the former role of Thanksgiving football rivalries with the state playoffs to begin after Thanksgiving. Dembowski is an Executive Board Member with the Massachusetts High School Football Coaches Association, a past president, and active with their website and communications for the organization. Dembowski was a standout athlete and successful head football coach at Swampscott High School.
