GLOUCESTER – (Vidoe) Senior Gloucester Fishermen quarterback/defensive back Matt Smith (6 rushes/70 yards) is this week’s MSONEWSports Player of the Week for his performance in a 28-21 win over Somerville. Smith converted two 4th-down plays into 16 and 7 yard touchdowns, added a 2-point conversion, and was cited by Coach Tony Zerilli as the best defensive player on the field last Friday night.
