Strong offensive and defensive play today by Caitlyn Stevens who is proving to be a very strong asset to our team this season.  Great team effort today with 9 girls scoring and all but one goal coming from an assist made by 10 different players. Sophomore goalie, Maddie Wilson, played the entire game and came up with 9 critical saves and 1 interception.

Boys Tennis

Marblehead 5 Revere 0  –  at the MHS courts. All the matches were won in two sets:

1.       Senior quad-captain Justin Faia beat David Grujic 6-2, 6-1

2.       Senior quad-captain Felix Litvak beat Andrea Shehaj 6-1, 6-2

3.       Sophomore Billy Ackerman beat Josue Martinez 6-1, 6-0

1st doubles: Senior quad-captains Garrett Tully and Sam Orenstein beat Naveed Jabbar and Ralph Corbelle 6-0, 6-0

2nd doubles: Sophomores Dan Litvak and Jack Quigley beat Sidorang Men and Erik Mesa 6-0, 6-1

 In sub-varsity play, Seniors Mike Conlin and Luke Fobert won 6-2, Sophomores Adam Sherf and Tony Gluskin won 6-1, and Juniors Mason Friedman and Harrison Dolin won 6-0.

 The tennis team would like to than Mr. Jon Solomon for making a wonderful white board which we debuted today to show the progress of the match.

Hamilton- Wenham 3 Amesbury 2  (HW now 2-1 on the year). Freshman Nick Greco pulled out the win for the Generals at third singles with a 6-3, 6-3 win. The Generals swept the doubles, with #1 doubles team Ben Danforth and Thor Messer winning 6-2, 6-0 and second doubles Will Curtis and Nick Ong 6-2, 6-2. Jack Greenwald played well at second singles before eventually falling 5-7, 6-3, 6-1.


Girls Tennis

Hamilton Wenham Regional High School vs. (Home team) Amesbury High School
Hamilton Wehnham Generals are off to a good start to the season at 2-1 record. HW defeated Amesbury 3-2 today in our first league match. Our #1, 2 and 3 singles players respectively  Ella Provost, Mae Viccica and Grace Condon swept the single matches. Our doubles teams put up a good fight and we look forward to our next match on Wednesday against Manchester Essex, they are always a tough opponent.
