Interactive Beach Water Quality Dashboard

MA Dept of Health Interactive Beaches Dashboard provides water quality testing results for the current beach season. It will tell you which beaches are open or closed. If a beach is closed, do not swim or enter the water at that location to avoid risk of illness.

The dashboard is updated at 9:30am and 12:30pm every day (including weekends) during the beach season.

 

Georgetown Police and Fire Departments to Host Sept. 11 RemembranceGEORGETOWN — Fire Chief Matthew McKay and Police Chief David Sedgwick are pleased to report that the Georgetown Fire and Police Departments are hosting a Sept. 11 remembrance at the Georgetown Public Safety Building.
WHEN:  Wednesday, Sept. 11, beginning at 10 a.m.
WHERE:  Georgetown Public Safety Building, 47 Central St., Georgetown, MA.
WHAT:   The Georgetown Police and Fire Departments will gather with community members to remember those lost on Sept. 11, 2001.
The remembrance will include a ringing of the fire station bells, lowering the American flag to half-mast, and a minute of complete silence.
Pastor Brent Fugate, the fire department chaplain, will lead a prayer.
The event will conclude with a second ringing of the fire station bells.
“We must never forget the sacrifice that so many made on Sept. 11, and we invite the entire community to join us as we remember this Wednesday and everyday,” said Chief McKay.
“Please join us for this solemn remembrance of all those lost,” said Chief Sedgwick.
