Tigers coach Kerri O’Connor: “Ipswich came out tonight for our semi-final match with confidence and heart – ready to play 100% from start to finish as a unified team..and we did just that.  Julia Glavin was a leader in all aspects of the game.  She had multiple caused turnovers, ground balls, majority of the draws controlled and shot with finesse and intensity.  Meghan O’Connor and Delaney Whooley did an amazing job of working with Julia on draw control as well, both protecting and transitioning the ball excellently.   Emma Moulton was a solid low attacker who made smart cuts and  had two beautiful side arm shots.  Haley O’Connor was very consistent on attack, making smart plays, wanting and protecting the ball and earning 3 well placed goals.  Our defensive unit was rock solid stopping fast breaks and cutters.  Kelsey Daly played with her usual intensity, focus and determination coming up with pass deflections, interceptions and 4 caused turnovers while Chloe Primack, Deidre O’Flynn and Izzy Primack all helped to clear the ball up the field and come up with ground balls.   Emily Martineau was solid in net, keeping her confidence high and making critical saves and clears throughout the game to win us this match!  All players on and off the field kept spirits and energy high.  We practiced hard, wanted the win and worked together!  On to the finals we go and we are ready!”
