BEVERLY – Endicott men’s basketball student-athlete Jalen Echevarria (Lynn, Mass.) was named Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office earlier today.

Echevarria put together a solid performance in his first trip to the CCC Men’s Basketball Championship tournament. He contributed 11 points to the Gulls’ 63-62 victory over No. 5 seed Wentworth in the CCC semifinals, then dropped 21 points and grabbed four boards, in Endicotts narrow 74-73 loss to Nichols in the CCC Championship.

The freshman guard shot 6-for-11 (54.5 percent) in the title game, including three buckets from downtown. In the entire tournament, Echevarria averaged 16.0 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. Photo Credit – Nick Grace ’20)
