BASEBALL: Jacob Peterson (6 IP, 2 hits, 8 K) pitched very well for St. Mary’s in a 6-1 win over Hamilton-Wenham. Shea Newhall (2-3, 2 RBI), Michael Demaino (2-3, 1 run, 1 RBI) and Tad Giardina (1-2, 1 run, 2 RBI) had big days offensively for St. Mary’s (11-6).
Salem Unified Sports – Unified T&F is thrilled we had 14 students qualify for States on May 24 at Natick High School. Erik Shehaj led the way, qualifying in all his events: D1-9 100M, D1-7 Long Jump, and as a member of the 4×100 Relay Team alongside Jayden Lopez, Nadia Lebron, & Anson Froeschl.
St. Mary’s Spartans – GIRLS TRACK: Girls team places 5th at CCLs behind strong performances from Kelsey Kwiatek (4th place mile), Tina Amin (3rd place 200), and Nina Lopes (4th place 2 Mile).
St. Mary’s Spartans – BOYS TRACK: Spartans place 2nd at the CCL Championship. Kyle Kwiatek wins MVP with wins in the Mile, 2 Mile, and anchoring the 4×8 with Jesse Moriello, Matheus Menezes, and Matt Terrien. Other placers include Brett O’Brien (high hurdles, 2nd) and Jesse Moriello (400 hurdles, 2nd)
