Mill River Winery Launches Its First Estate-Grown Wine Success Marks Potential to Expand Wine Industry on the North Shore

ROWLEY — Donna Martin and Rick Rousseau, owners and winemakers at Mill River Winery, are pleased to announce that they have launched their first estate-grown wine, the 2014 Mill River Winery Frontenac.

Developed using special techniques to make a dry red wine from locally grown grapes, Mill River Frontenac has a cherry aroma with notes of plum and light spice, and hints of oak from the French Oak barrels where it was stored.

The winemakers officially released the wine during a launch party earlier this year, which included wine tastings, food pairing ideas (BBQ beef or pork, cheddar and Gouda cheeses and pizza are perfect) and tours of the wine-making facility.

“We are so excited to celebrate our first estate-grown wine, which has received very positive feedback from our customers and wine club members,” Martin said. “All of our staff, past and present, have put countless hours of hard work and dedication into this and we are incredibly proud of the final product.”
