Mid-Pod’s Two Moms Discover Murder on the Reservation in North Dakota; Indigenous Native U.S. Citizens Not Allowed to Vote

PLEASANT STREET TEA COMPANY – Heather Atwood, one of the Two Moms who have been traveling across the country for more than a year, came across an astounding finding in her visit to Fargo, North Dakota, a couple of weeks ago.  In researching “swing districts” that could affect the makeup of Congress, she discovered the shocking murder of five indigenous women on a reservation near Fargo. (Click here for more information about murder rate among North Dakota indigenous women.)

In the first part of the interview below, Heather recounts what The Mid-Pod found out about the murders, and explains how the Republican-controlled North Dakota legislature took away the voting rights of the people on the Reservation.

In the second half of the interview, Heather talks about “Hot Dishes in North Dakota,” a rather lighter subject.
