MIAA Division One Girls Basketball – Billerica Tops Lynn Classical 54-37 – Strong Second Half For Billerica – Post Game Videos

LYNN – (Videos – Photos) Lynn Classical trailed Billerica by just 4 points at halftime (26-22) but by the end of the third quarter Billerica had a 15 point lead. (43-28). Billerica advances in the MIAA Division 1 girls tournament to take on Andover in a North semi-final game later this week. Billerica scoring leaders were Kelsey Leverone 12 pts, Emily Scurka 10 pts, and Caitlin Boermeester 10 pts. Lynn Classical was led by the game’s leading scorer Soneta Srey’s 13 points. Classical’s Paris Wilkey picked up her third foul early in the second quarter and was not able to contribute as much a Classical had hoped. It was the last game for seniors Soneta Srey and Priscll Alouidor (Picture below with coach Tom Sawyer) Classical finishes the year at 18-6 while Billerica improves to 17-5 on the season.
